EVENTS

BNHRC provides many programming opportunities for members and guests to network with local professionals, learn more about HR-related topics, and earn SHRM and HRCI recertification credits. Online registration is required for members and guests for most events in advance.

Monthly chapter events are virtual and typically held on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 11:50 am - 1:00 pm. Registration fees for monthly chapter events are included in annual membership dues. Guests will be charged any applicable registration fees at time of registration that must be paid in accordance with our event payment policies.

    About the event: 

    • Guests are welcome to attend! BNHRC members will be provided a ticket for one free beverage of choice and appetizers will be served. 
    • We will have a 50/50 raffle to benefit the SHRM Foundation.  Tickets are $1 each, or 6 tickets for $5. Bring cash or pay on Venmo during the event!

        About the presentation:

        The world of compensation has not been immune from the impact of the pandemic, remote work options and low unemployment.  The challenges finding capable field, professional and leadership roles is as challenging as ever. This session will identify the most effective techniques to help an organization attract, retain and motivate employees in this new atmosphere.  We will explore the latest impacts on base, premiums and incentives so they are delivered in a way that reinforces the organization’s desired strategy and work environment.  This will include the latest data and approaches so an organization can remain competitive in the talent marketplace. 

        Re-certification Credits: 1-hour general HRCI and 1 SHRM professional development credit (PDC) will be shared with attendees after the meeting.

        Join BNHRC for our next HR Roundtable on Thursday, October 17, 2024  from 12 - 1 PM

        About our Roundtables: 

        • Roundtables are designed for BNHRC members to have an open discussion and a safe space to share and learn from each other. 
        • A guest may attend in place of a BNHRC member and will be asked to include the BNHRC member's name on their registration.

          This presentation will focus on diverse examples for boosting access in the workplace. Focusing on an intersectional approach to race, gender, faith, and ability, participants will consider ways that they can increase access in their respective work environments. An overview of DEI will be provided as will an examination of how HR is situated to be the strongest allies to DEI initiatives work.
