RECENT CHAPTER AWARDS
The SHRM Excel Award recognizes accomplishments and strategic activities that enhance the human resources profession. "So much of SHRM’s impact on the world of work can be traced back to the dedication and hard work of our chapters and state councils like BNHRC. These leaders took the initiative and drove changes to make workplaces where employers and employees can thrive together. The Gold EXCEL Award is not only a celebration of the great work done by BNHRC—it’s also a recognition of the grit it took to do it.” - Johnny C. Taylor, SHRM-SCP, President and CEO of SHRM
The SHRM Learning System Champion status is a recognition of our chapter’s hard work to elevate the HR profession through professional development and HR knowledge among members, gained from SHRM certification. The competency-based SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® credentials are the new global standard in HR certification. These credentials are among the first HR certifications focused on teaching and testing the practical, real-life information HR professionals need to advance their organizations, and excel in their careers today, including knowledge, skills, and behavioral competencies.
SHRM Foundation Champions are SHRM chapters that support the SHRM Foundation by making an annual donation to the SHRM Foundation, hosting a fundraising event to benefit the SHRM Foundation, and encouraging members to join Team Empower and pledging to support the SHRM Foundation’s annual initiative. With support from our chapter, the SHRM Foundation is able to fulfill their mission to champion workforce and workplace transformation.
The SHRM Pinnacle Award honors the highest achievements in affiliate development and contributions that serve HR professionals, advance the HR profession and enhance the SHRM community and was awarded to BNHRC in 2016 for our collaboration efforts with the Heart of Illinois Human Resource Council and Central Illinois Human Resource Group for the inaugural Central Illinois HR Conference.
