COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP

Companies today, more than ever before, are devoting greater attention to their human resources because of the global nature of business. To be competitive, businesses must effectively recruit, train, compensate, and retain their employees.

All of these functions need to occur in an environment of increasing regulations and greater potential for litigation. The Bloomington-Normal Human Resource Council serves as a resource to assist human resource professionals in meeting the challenges of their positions.

Members benefit in many ways through their association with our organization. Some of these include:

• Monthly programs - Luncheon meetings/programs are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month

• Professional development, including programs that qualify for HR re-certification credit

• Networking opportunities

• Social activities

• Annual Employment Law Update

• Opportunities to serve on committees to determine the future direction of the council
